Explanation
As a normal part of our operations we share a maximum amount of malware with each of the Anti-Virus vendors that we have licenses with. The exact number that is shared depends on current resources and bandwidth. We have to have some maximum level of sharing otherwise we could be sending 80%-90% of what is collected daily to certain vendors when they have bad detection days.
The following tables show how much malware we have been sharing with each vendor. There are places where no vendor received anything and that is when our different distribution systems broke or our accounting of what was sent failed to function. Occasionally we are unable to send to specific vendors for a variety of reasons, some is our fault and some times the vendor itself is unable to receive samples for periods of time.
